How to crack SSC CHSL exam in the first attempt?

 

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts CHSL examination every year for various posts in different government departments and ministries across the country. Lakhs of aspiring candidates who want to join government jobs apply through this entry. The competition for SSC CHSL posts is getting tougher every year as more and more candidates are giving the written examination that includes four tiers of selection. The candidates need to go under Tier-1 and Tier-2 written examination followed by descriptive Paper & computer proficiency test from the commission to get selection finally to the posts. Hence, the candidates need to cross each hurdle with the utmost attention and prepare to attain their names in the list of successful candidates, which is generated by the commission at the end of the recruitment process every year.

After filling up the SSC CHSL exam application form, candidates should start preparing for the written tests accordingly. The level of the Tier-1 examination is a little bit lower than the Tier-2 exam. Thus, many of them take it casually. However, it can turn out to be a silly mistake for the candidates as tier-1 is the gateway to proceed in this recruitment process. Apart from Tier-1, Tier-2 is also important because the marks of both tiers are accountable in the final merit list. Later tiers are just qualifying in nature.

Tips to crack SSC CHSL in the first attempt

The candidates must read the official notification available along with the application form to know more about the latest syllabus, examination pattern, and other selection criteria. They should look at the syllabus for both Tier-1 and Tier-2 in detail to start preparation accordingly. Apart from the syllabus, it contains some mandatory guidelines to which you have to stick with. In case, if you fail to comply with these rules/ regulations specifically designed for attending exams like age-criteria, data typing speed with relaxed and non-relaxed norms, offered posts, and their respective pay-scale. Then, you may not be allowed to proceed with further steps in the recruitment process, or in few cases, your candidature can also be canceled.

SSC CHSL 2020-2021 exam is going to be held in three tiers (wherever applicable). To go ahead with the selection process, you need to qualify for each tier of the SSC CHSL 2020-21 exam.

·          Tier 1: Objective Type Computer Based Examination

·         Tier 2: Descriptive Paper (Pen and paper mode)

·         Tier 3. Typing Test/ Skill Test (wherever it will be applicable)

·         For Visually Handicapped / OH (afflicted by Cerebral Palsy and OH with a deformity On the writing hand, the time duration would be 80 Minutes.

·         SSC CHSL Exam will be bilingual in nature i.e. you can attempt the exam in both Hindi and English except for the English Language section which can be attempted in English only.

·         ¼ or 0.50 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer marked.
